Persis's Random Musings

Someone in the neighborhood is playing appropriately-themed music; there have been hoards of chillins, all ages, earlier the smalls, now it's mostly tweens and teens, some with their younger sibs along. Not as many cars parked along the street, but that might be because of the cold (it's in the 30's). Talis, dressed in my old Star-Bellied Sneetch costume, is out with two friends. She carved the most amazing small pumpkin with Linus, and then one with a very good scary jaggy face. Pictures later, on LJ posting. SHe decided that we needed some scary halloween lights, so we have tea lights in Quart mason jars, a darkened front hall, and of course, her two carved pumpkins. It is good to see that almost all the kids have made efforts with their costumes. And, lots of parents too. :-)
